Geographic locations
Sarahville and Australia have some similarities like that they are both famous for their beaches because they are islands. However, Sarahville's land mass also contains another coutnry (Ashlyntown).
Sarahville is close to the equator making it very tropical. The top part of Australia is tropical, but other parts of Australia are dessert or have very mild temperatures with low humidity, so that is not similar.

Population density
Australia does not share a border with anyone. Sarah ville is half the size of Australia, but has triple the amount of people. I am wondering if that makes the cities in Sarahville very crowded. Some crowded cities have high pollution, but that is not true of Sarahville because they actively use public transport. In the images you can see that the streets are empty except for the trams, pedestrians and buses. I think this means that people have a good quality of life in Sarahville. The air is clean and there are many plants on the street scape.
The population in the major cities are very high, so people live in high rise buildings with their whole extended family.

How are our lives different?
Even though Sarahville is very similar to Australia in lots of ways, their life seems very different to mine. Because they are near the equator and on an island, their culture is very tropical. The high heat means that people need to take life more slowly, so the culture is very relaxed. Everyone has a nap in the afternoon. That is very different to how we live, because we are always rushing around and almost everybody's work day is the same time.
As mentioned earlier, people live in extended family units in high rise buildings. This is very different to Australia, because most people just live with their immeadiate family and most houses have a backyard. I think it would make families in Sarahville much friendlier, because they would spend a lot of time with each other and you would never be lonely. In Australia people are always having to pay for childcare and if your neighbours might not be the same age as you so you might not play together. However, in Sarahville it is more likely there would be kids in every home! That would make for great neighbours.

Revisiting my QuestionsI wonder if the people in Sarahville live in a home like I do with just their immediate family?
Now I know that people do not live in similar ways to Australian's, because they include their whole extended family. I think I might enjoy the communities that this would build in Sarahville. I Wonder if they eat food similar to us because the climate is very different? When I researched the food of Sarahville, I found that the tropical climate meant that there is a lot more fruit in Sarahville. They love to make desserts with their fruit and they eat dessert before dinner! |
Before you visit, you should know...
Before you visit Sarahville, you should know that all citizens greet each other with a burp! This can be very disconcerting at first, but later you get used to it. It is a sign that you have a good life, full of delicious snacks, and that you wish them the same.
